Why convert Excel to PDF?
A spreadsheet is a working document - great for editing, but not ideal for sharing. Column widths, print areas and page breaks can look different on someone else's machine, and the recipient can accidentally change your numbers. Converting to PDF locks the layout in place and gives everyone the exact same view.
This tool renders your workbook on our server and returns a clean PDF, so invoices, reports and reports based on your spreadsheet look right whether they're viewed on screen or printed.
Make your sheet fit the page
The most common problem when turning a spreadsheet into a PDF is a table that spills across several pages. Fix it in Excel before you upload:
- Set a print area (Page Layout > Print Area) so only the cells you want are included.
- Fit to one page wide under Page Layout > Scale to Fit, and leave the height on Automatic.
- Switch to landscape for wide tables with many columns.
- Repeat header rows (Print Titles) so column names appear on every page.
- Hide helper columns and sheets you don't want the reader to see.
Good uses for Excel to PDF
Invoices, quotations, price lists, timesheets, budgets and monthly reports all travel better as PDF: they open on any phone, print exactly as laid out, and the figures can't be edited by mistake.
