Why convert Excel to PDF?

A spreadsheet is a working document - great for editing, but not ideal for sharing. Column widths, print areas and page breaks can look different on someone else's machine, and the recipient can accidentally change your numbers. Converting to PDF locks the layout in place and gives everyone the exact same view.

This tool renders your workbook on our server and returns a clean PDF, so invoices, reports and reports based on your spreadsheet look right whether they're viewed on screen or printed.

Questions & Answers

Will my formulas still work in the PDF?
No - a PDF is a fixed snapshot, not a live spreadsheet. Formulas are converted to their last-calculated values and can no longer be edited or recalculated.
Does this work with both .xls and .xlsx files?
Yes, both the older .xls format and the modern .xlsx format are supported.
What if my spreadsheet has multiple sheets?
Each sheet is converted according to its own print area and page setup, and the pages are combined into a single PDF in sheet order.
Will my original spreadsheet be changed?
No. We only read your file to produce a PDF copy - your original .xls or .xlsx is left untouched and is deleted from our server shortly after conversion.
