Rotate a photo in your browser
Phones and cameras sometimes save a photo sideways or upside-down, and some apps ignore the rotation information so the picture looks wrong everywhere else. This tool fixes that: rotate the image in 90-degree steps until it is the right way up, then download. It all happens in your browser, so the photo is never uploaded and the rotation is instant.
What you can do
- Rotate right or left - turn a sideways photo 90 degrees either way.
- Flip 180 degrees - turn an upside-down photo the right way up.
- Stack rotations - keep tapping to rotate further; the preview updates each time.
Quality is kept
Rotating by 90 or 180 degrees does not lose any image quality - the pixels are simply turned, not re-sampled. The download keeps your original file type, so a PNG stays a PNG with transparency and a JPG stays a JPG. The new width and height swap when you rotate by 90 degrees, which is exactly what you want for a photo that was taken in the wrong orientation.
Private and free
There is no upload, no account and no watermark, and nothing is stored. If you also need to flip a photo into its mirror image, use the Flip Image tool; to crop or resize afterwards, use Crop Image or Resize Image.
