How this works

There is no reliable way to detect an arbitrary watermark automatically, so you mark it once by drawing a box over it. We then paint over that same box - either by sampling the colour around it and blending a patch in (best for a logo or text stamp on a plain or lightly textured background), or by heavily blurring the area (safer for a busy photo, though the outline may still be faintly visible).

Best results

  • Draw the box a little larger than the watermark itself so no edge peeks out.
  • "Auto blend" works best on a plain or gently textured background - product photos on white, scanned documents, certificates.
  • For a watermark over a busy, detailed photo, "Blur" usually looks more natural than a flat colour patch.

Questions & Answers

Does this truly restore what was behind the watermark?
No. Nothing can reconstruct pixels that were never captured. This tool covers the watermark with a plausible background instead - a colour blend or a blur - which reads as removed at a glance but is not a perfect reconstruction.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP. The result is saved in the same format as the file you uploaded.
Does it change the image dimensions?
No. Only the pixels inside the box you draw are changed; the width and height stay the same.
Is it free, and are my files kept?
Yes, free with no sign-up or watermark added back. Uploaded and processed files are deleted from the server automatically about an hour later.
