How it works

1

Choose a PDF file.

2

Keep PNG selected (or switch to JPG for smaller files).

3

Download the ZIP with one PNG per page.

Lossless images from your PDF

PNG stores every pixel exactly, with no compression artefacts. That makes it the right format when a PDF page contains small text, tables, charts, technical drawings, signatures or a logo that must stay perfectly crisp. This tool renders each page at 144 DPI and saves it as a PNG, so what you see in the image matches the PDF.

When PNG is the better choice

  • Documents with fine text - contracts, forms and invoices stay readable when zoomed in.
  • Diagrams and charts - thin lines and flat colours stay clean, with no blurry halos.
  • Further editing - PNG is ideal if you will annotate, crop or edit the page in an image editor, because re-saving it does not lower the quality.
  • Documentation and slides - paste pages into wikis, help articles or presentations with pixel-perfect results.

File size

Because PNG is lossless, files are larger than JPG - often several hundred kilobytes per page. For photo-heavy pages or when you need small files for an upload, switch to JPG with the option above the upload box, or use the PDF to JPG page. If you need one image under an exact size, run it through the image compressor afterwards.

How to use the result

The ZIP contains one PNG per page, numbered in order. Extract it on your computer, or open it with the Files app on a phone. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Your files are deleted from our server automatically after conversion.

Questions & Answers

Is PNG better quality than JPG?
PNG is lossless, so text and lines stay perfectly sharp. JPG is smaller and looks just as good for photos.
Do I get one PNG per page?
Yes. Every page becomes its own PNG, numbered in page order, packed in one ZIP.
Will the background be transparent?
No. Pages are rendered with their normal white background, exactly as they appear in a PDF viewer.
Is there a page limit?
There is no fixed page limit; very long documents simply take a little longer to convert.
