Convert PNG to SVG for Crisp Logos

SVG is a vector format: it redraws itself at every size, so a logo stays razor-sharp on a business card or a billboard. Converting a PNG to SVG traces the shapes into paths.

What converts well

  • Flat logos, icons and wordmarks with a few solid colours.
  • Black-and-white marks and simple line art.

What does not

  • Photographs — tracing a photo produces a huge, messy file.
  • Gradients, soft shadows and fine texture.

Steps

  1. Start from the cleanest, highest-resolution PNG you have.
  2. Upload it to PNG to SVG.
  3. Open the result and check the edges; if a colour looks lost, try a sharper source image.

For a company logo, the best SVG always comes from the original design file — tracing is the fallback when that is gone.
