Plenty of upload forms cap a PDF at 100 KB. Scanned documents can usually get close to that; text-only or photo-heavy files are harder. Here is the practical approach.
Steps
- Open the PDF Compressor and upload your file.
- Pick the strongest compression level.
- Download the result and check the size. If it is still over, repeat one level lower or trim pages.
If it will not reach 100 KB
- Split the PDF and upload only the pages the form actually needs.
- Re-scan at 150 DPI instead of 300 DPI — on screen it looks the same and the file is roughly a quarter of the size.
- Make sure the file is a real PDF, not a full-resolution photo saved with a .pdf name.
Quality
The selectable text layer is never changed. Only embedded images are re-compressed, so the document stays readable. Files are deleted from the server automatically about an hour after processing.
